King Charles III Coronation

Buckingham Palace – Have announced plans for the Coronation weekend. The Coronation Service will be on Saturday 6 May with a special Concert live from Windsor Castle on Sunday 7 May. Local communities are invited to hold a ‘Big Lunch’ on Bank Holiday Monday, 8 May.

So far, Scruton News is not aware of any firm plans for a celebration in the village, but there’s still time for someone to step forward to organise a Street Party or perhaps a Village Picnic.

Coronation Mugs – SPC are offering a free Coronation Mug to all children under 16 years. Contact the Parish Clerk to reserve mugs for your children, or to place orders for any additional mugs at £6 each.
