Message from the Rectory – August 2020

St Radegund’s Church The risk assessment is complete and essential cleaning done in readiness for Holy Communion at 9:30 am on Sunday 2 August . Face coverings and social distancing will apply and you will be given a printed service which you may bring to future services, a list of which will be displayed in the Church porch.

From Rev’d Jenni Lane Part of me will miss the camaraderie of our online Sunday worship. It will be strange to begin a service without checking first if there is anyone in the ‘waiting room’ and that everyone is ‘unmuted’! In these uncertain times, kindness and love have come to the fore. Paul Chubb, our Licensed Lay Minister, has tirelessly sent out copies of services and hosted online worship. The church wardens have looked after the empty buildings and deciphered news from both the Gov’t and C of E. Our admin assistant has pulled the legal stuff together. Dedicated gardeners have kept our grounds beautiful. Many other people have supported and loved their neighbours. So, this is me, saying thank you to you all.

We journey on in faith, hope and, most importantly, love.
