Noticeboards
Parish Council noticeboards are located at the village hall and on the village green. A public-access noticeboard is located in the bus shelter opposite Pittfields Corner.
Scruton Information Signboard
A ‘Thankful Village’ signboard located on the village green near the Church, tells the story of Scruton from its ancient origins through to it becoming a Thankful Village.
Scruton Sky at Night – October 2021
A New Moon on 6 Oct. means a dark, clear sky compared with the Full Moon on 20 Oct. which will impede viewing, due to its brightness.
Scruton Book Club
Scruton Book Club returns on Tuesday 26 October.
Kirkby Fleetham Women’s Institute
Kirkby Fleetham WI celebrates its centenary this month. The meeting on 14 October will be a Birthday Dinner for members and invited guests only.
Defibrillator
The Parish Council now have responsibility for keeping the Defibrillator (located outside the Coore Arms) in a state of readiness.
Station Road Footpath
The Parish Council have begun planning for the proposed footpath from the railway station to the A684.
