Noticeboards
Parish Council noticeboards are located at the village hall and on the village green. A public-access noticeboard is located in the bus shelter opposite Pittfields Corner.
Scruton Information Signboard
A ‘Thankful Village’ signboard located on the village green near the Church, tells the story of Scruton from its ancient origins through to it becoming a Thankful Village.
The Annual Potato Challenge 2021
The Annual Potato Challenge is back by popular demand, to see who can grow the biggest weight of potatoes from one tuber grown in a bag.
Increased RAF Flying – March 2021
RAF Leeming is hosting various multi-national aircraft, which may require some low flying and night exercises, continuing until 18 March.

A Scruton Parish Council meeting took place on the evening of Thursday 25 February via Zoom. Various matters were discussed, including the solar farm proposal and the Ham Hall Lane flooding problem.
Scruton Sky at Night – March 2021
The skies are gradually getting lighter in the evening with the Spring Equinox on 20 March – equal day and night, and the change to BST on 28 March when the clocks go forward one hour.
